Two cushions in velvet from Kasai, Congo, Kuba, early 20th century, made of raffia and palm tree in cut hair, or Richelieu embroidery, decorated with cream, brown and tobacco rhombus patterns. These velvet pieces were used as currency in the constitution of the dowry.
