Tapestry, wool and silk, Aubusson, 18th century, of the Histoire de Gombault et Macée, after an engraving by Claudine Bouzonnet Stella (1636-1697) la danse ou la ronde, with its border of a figured frame (wear, restoration, good condition, ready for hanging). Jacqueline Boccara, Ames de laine et soie, p. 218: "Le poème de Gombault et Macée Il a la truculence effrénée du XVIe siècle . The poem is attributed to Henri Baude, a poet born in Moulins in 1430 and 1440. A comparable tapestry at the Musée d'Aubusson Claudine Bouzonnet Stella's intaglio engraving, Le Branle, from the Pastorales series, is held at the Bibliothèque municipale de Lyon (F17BOU005367).
