THE TASTE OF BERNADETTE AND ALAIN DEJARDIN, CERAMISTS
Curious by nature, Alain Déjardin has used the technique of lustre in his work, a technique not often used in contemporary ceramics.
This curiosity is reflected in his collection, assembled with his wife, which consists of pieces of earthenware, porcelain or stoneware, from various countries, of plural aesthetic aspect and using various techniques.
This collection was composed essentially by exchanges between ceramists during exhibitions.
Alain Déjardin is also one of the creators of the association Terre et Terre(Midi Pyrénées), which promotes contemporary ceramics through the organization of national and international events. It is also him, who, within the National Collective of Ceramists, pushed for the creation of a solidarity fund, in order to help workshops in difficulty.
